Su ve Ateş, eril ve dişil bugün birleşiyor, ateş ısıtıyor Tanrıça’sını sular akıyor Toprağa damla damla, su serinletiyor, yol açıyor Tanrı’sına, iki dünya bir oluyor, dengede ve şimdide. Yaratılışın mitleri de Su’dan Ateş’e birçok örnek gösterir, su ile göğün sonsuz okyanusundan simyada dönüşümün sembolü ateşe varılır. Bu buluşma, ‘’ilk’’ baharın yükselişi, baharın doğuşu, anlamı yeni gün olan nevruz, ostara, ekinoks, Kybele’nin kutsanışını, Persephone’nin dünya üstüne çıkışı, Cliton’ın doğa anayı yemyeşil giydirmek için asasını toprağa vuruşu, hepsini içinde taşır, 20-22 Mart’ya konumlanır.
Ve bugün 21 Mart 2022 bu özel sürece Maya Takvimine göre Toprak dönemi ile başlıyoruz, 13 gün boyunca zeminimizde Toprak etkisi olacak, Maya’lara göre Toprak, bize çözümler getirir, sistemli yapılar temellendirmemiz için imkân sağlar, o sebepten içimizde uykudan uyanıp, dengelenen ve kabuğunu çatlattığımız ne varsa şimdi ayaklarımızı yere basma, toprağın bereketini onurlandırma, yüzümüzü Toprağa çevirme vakti.
Maya Takvimi doğanın ritmini izler ve bu ritim bize doğaya ait olduğumuzu hatırlatır o sebepten bu 13 gün hatırla, toprağa dokunmayı, hatırla neyin üzerinde yürüdüğünü, dünyanın en özel cevheri olabilirsin ama toprağın yoksa bir işe yaramaz içinde taşıdıkların o yüzden yuvanın hakikatine uyanacağımız bir 13 gün olsun. Duygularımız ve sezgilerimizin dengesinde, bedenimizi de dinleyeceğimiz bu dönem içinde, ağırlaşıp, alınganlıklara sürüklendiğimizde ateşin elini isteyelim, yolumuzda bize dönüşüm gücünü versin, nerede fazlaca ateşlenip, yakıp yıkmaya gidiyorsak suyun elini isteyelim, ateşimizi dengelesin.
Su ve Ateş ritüelleri kadim bilgilerden günümüze kadar uzanır. Kadim toplulukların çoğu gerçek yıl başını bugüne göre kutlar. Karlar erir, akan sular ile toprak ihtiyacı olana doyar, böylece tohumlar filizlenmeye başlar.
Sevgili Serdar Deniz Özdemir, Anadolu Masallarında Su ve Ateş yazısında bu dönemin ritüellerini şu şekilde aktarır.
‘’ Genç Kazak Türkleri Nevruz sabahı özellikle çeşme, pınar, bulak gibi yerleri ve çevrelerini temizler. (Çay, 2012: 135). Bu gelenek suyun bulunduğu mekânlara atfedilen kutsiyetle yakından ilgilidir. Yaşlı Kazak Türkleri ise Nevruz sabahı temizlenmiş su kaynaklarının etrafına ağaç dikerler. (Çay, 2012: 135). Bu sayede arı suyun hayat verici işlevi, uzun ömrün simgesi olan ağaçla birleşir. Ekilen ağaçlara gençler tarafından süt, ayran, kımız gibi beyaz renkli içecekler dökülür. ‘’
‘’ Azerbaycan Türkleri Nevruz sabahı taze su içip taze suyla yıkanırlar. Hayvanlara da taze su verilir. (Çay, 2012: 251). Azerbaycan Türkleri böylece, yeni yıla arındırıcı unsur olan suyun gücüyle başlarlar. ‘’
Yenigazi köyünde nevruz sabahı tan yeri henüz ağarırken, yeni günün başladığı anda bütün akarsuların bir saniye için durduğuna ve o anda çeşmeden bir kapla su alınabilirse bütün dileklerin yerine geleceğine inanılır.” (Çay, 2012: 253).

Kazak Türkleri arasında Nevruz’da ateşle ilgili inanış ve uygulamalara rastlanır.
“Geceleyin iki yere büyükçe ateş yakılır. Bir grup genç bu iki ateşin arasından geçerek kötülüklerden, hastalıklardan arınırlar. Bu sırada ellerindeki meşaleleri bu yanan ateşlerden tutuşturan gençler ‘alas, alas! Peleden kalas’ diyerek çevrelerini de ateşle temizlerle. Daha sonra gençler ateşin üzerinden atlarlar. Halkın coşkuyla seyrettikleri bu tören eski Türklerdeki ateş kültüyle ilgilidir.”
Kırgız Türkleri Nevruz sabahı ateş yakarlar. Yılın bu ilk ateşi ertesi günün sabahına kadar söndürülmez. Ayrıca Kırgız Türkleri ardıç ağacı ve yabani sedef otunu yakarak, bunlardan çıkan dumanı ev içindeki eşyalar ile hayvanların etrafında üçer defa dolaştırırlar.
Tahtacı Türkmenleri arasında coşkuyla kutlanan Nevruz’da, mezarlık ziyaretlerin önemli yeri vardır. Her mezarın başında bulunan ocak, nevruz günü yakılır. Bu ocaklarda kahve pişirilir ve pişirilen bu kahveler, misafirlere ikram edilir. ‘’
Bugün dört elementi onurlandırmak için, su ile gün doğumuna eşlik ederek taptaze bir duş ile başlayın, günün canlanmasını temsilen ocağınızın üstüne korunaklı bir şekilde mum yakın, mum kendiliğinden sönmelidir, imkan varsa yakılan mumun ertesi gün doğumuna kadar yanması tercih edilir, sonra pencerelerini açın, doğudan esen rüzgarların uyanış için soluğunu mekanınızda gezdirmesini rica edin ve toprağın bereketi için bugün doğa anaya ve onun çocuklarına bir şeyler sunun ; kapı komşuna bir hediye paketi yapıp içine şeker, ekmek ve buğday koymak … veya hayvanlar için doğaya yemekler bırakmak olabilir

In the balance of our emotions and intuitions, in this period when we will listen to our body, when we become heavy and drift into resentments, let us ask for the hand of fire, give us the power of transformation in our way, let us ask for the hand of water wherever we go to over-fire, burn and destroy, balance our fire.
Water and Fire rituals range from ancient knowledge to the present day. Most ancient communities celebrate the beginning of the real year today. The snow melts, the earth with running water fills with what it needs, so that the seeds begin to sprout.
Beloved Serdar Deniz Özdemir conveys the rituals of this period in the Anatolian Fairy Tales of Water and Fire.
“On the morning of Nevruz, Young Kazakh Turks clean places and their surroundings, especially places such as fountains and bulaks. (Tea, 2012: 135). This tradition is closely related to the sanity attributed to the places where water is found. The elderly Kazakh Turks plant trees around the water sources that were cleaned on the morning of Nevruz. (Tea, 2012: 135). This way, the life-giving function of bee water merges with the tree, which is the symbol of longevity. White-colored beverages such as milk, buttermilk and red are poured by young people into the planted trees. ‘’

Among Kazakh Turks, beliefs and practices related to fire are found in Nevruz.
“At night, a great fire will be lit in two places. A group of young people pass through these two fires, to free themselves of evil and disease. Meanwhile, the young people who ignited their torches from these burning fires said ‘alas, alas! Peleden planks’, and cleanse their surroundings with fire. Then the youngsters jump over the fire. This ceremony, which the people watched enthusiastically, concerns the cult of fire in the ancient Turks.”

Kyrgyz Turks light fires on the morning of Nevruz. This first fire of the year is not extinguished until the morning of the following day. In addition, Kyrgyz Turks burn juniper trees and weeds, circulating the smoke from these weeks three times around their home, animals and what is inside their homes.
In Nevruz, which is celebrated enthusiastically among Tahtaci Turkmens, cemetery visits hold an important place. The stove at the head of each tomb is burned on the day of Nevruz. Coffee is cooked on these stoves and these coffees are served to the guests. ‘’
To honor the four elements today, start with a fresh shower accompanied by water and sunrise, sheltered candles on top of your mantel to represent the revival of the day, the candle should light out by itself, if possible, let the candle burn till the next morning. On the next day open your windows, ask the winds blowing from the east to show your place for awakening and offer something to mother nature and her children today for the fertility of the soil ; make a gift package for your next door neighbor and put sugar, bread and wheat in it … or leave food for animals in nature.
